6/8/10-6/11/10: Louisville Bats vs Syracuse Chiefs

Another team we only see for one series. This time the Louisville Bats (AAA affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) came to Syracuse. Homer Bailey was rehabbing for a game. Overall, a few tough/prickish guys. Yonder Alonso was one, he signed a couple, but I was never even close.

This was our only series between Syracuse and the Durham Bulls (AAA affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays). It was great to have two good signing prospects, such as Desmond Jennings and Jeremy Hellickson. Shockingly, even Angel Chavez signed, and he rarely ever signs. Overall, a great series. I was even able to get a few guys on my new Harrisburg team set.

5/24/10: Richmond Flying Squirrels vs Binghamton Mets

We decided to go down to Binghamton for a AA matchup between Binghamton Mets (NY Mets affiliate) and the Richmond Flying Squirrels (San Francisco Giants affiliate). I tend to make this a must see matchup, since we never see any other San Francisco affiliates. We ended up going for batting practice and the game, so I was able to get a few Binghamton guys, too.. Also, yet again Kurt Manwaring showed up, as a rover for San Fran. Glad I was prepared.

This was our only series involving the Toledo Mudhens (AAA affiliate for the Detroit Tigers). It was nice because we had rehabbing Carlos Guillen there. He was alright at times, kinda miserable at other times. However, it was easy to get him when he was distracted trying to impress women lol. Overall, not bad for a team that has been tough at times. Max Scherzer was a miserable jerk after the first day.

Due to my lack of updates, I have decided to try to expedite the process by moving the Syracuse Chiefs games into series. So this was our first matchup with Lehigh Valley (Triple A affiliate of Philadelphia). The coolest part of the series was the nearly empty game, where Kevin Mench was in the store signing. He asked to take one of my cards (of course a numbered card I liked and had only one of..), but then he signed the rest of what I had, which was cool.
