1/29/10: San Antonio Rampage vs Syracuse Crunch

This was the yearly trip to Syracuse by San Antonio (Phoenix's AHL affiliate). I was very happy to get from #3 pick, Kyle Turris, to sign..and sign a bunch! Also, we lucked out as San Antonio had a team meeting after the game, somewhere upstairs at the War Memorial. This allowed us to get players that we otherwise would have missed, especially since San Antonio usually walks to their hotel, exiting many different exits.

The annual holiday party held by the Syracuse Crunch. Pretty much every player is available to sign. Great to get items done. The only player not there was injured Tom Sestito. I also won a team signed hockey stick!

This was the only meeting between Syracuse and Minnesota's AHL affiliate from Houston. This is always a tough team, since they usually stay overnight and walk to their hotel..often leaving through many different exits.

Syracuse played the first of MANY against Rochester (Florida's AHL affiliate). Disappointing to play 20% of your home games against the SAME team, that's not even in your conference.

Didn't have too much on the card side for these guys. Lucked out and saw that Jesse Winchester was making a conditioning start a few minutes before I left for the game. As usual, Brian Lee was pricky.
